Madison, Alabama, based CDI Electronics, the premier supplier of replacement outboard ignition components has released a new version of its Marine Engine Diagnostic Software (“MEDS”) to include BRP engines.

MEDS 4.0 now includes the capability to diagnose BRP’s lineup of electronically controlled two-stroke and four-stoke engines, including FICHT, E-TEC and Johnson Four-Stroke models

MEDS already provides engine diagnostics for Mercury, Mercruiser and Yamaha engines.

Thomas James, CDI sales manager explained: “With Release 4.0, MEDS now provides the independent marine technician with the capability to diagnose over 90% of the electronically controlled outboard engines on the water today. Its easy-to-learn user interface facilitates the reading of all kinds of engine data, thereby eliminating the guess work in diagnosis and repair. Now that repair work has become a larger portion of dealer revenue, MEDS 4.0 greatly increases the population of serviceable engines for all repair shops.”
