Marysville, WA – Balmar LLC, the leading manufacturer of onboard DC charging systems for cruising sail and power boats today announced the full production release a Smartphone App for the SG200 Battery Monitor. Bluetooth® Gateway units are immediately available for shipment, and work with both Apple iOS and Google Android devices.
The SG200 is Balmar’s revolutionary, award winning, next generation battery monitor; capable of providing both State of Charge (SoC) and State of Health (SoH) measurements. The SG200 is selfcalibrating and provides battery status measurements for one deep-cycle (house) battery plus two auxiliary (start) batteries. Battery information is delivered to an industry-standard 2” round, sunlightreadable color display. The system is expandable; capable of handling multiple house batteries and displays on a single network. Balmar’s Bluetooth® Gateway can be used for reading critical battery parameters on a mobile device, advanced setup functions, and downloading software updates.
“Balmar’s new SG200 changes the game in battery monitoring!” explained Chris Witzgall, Balmar Product Manager. “With our State of Health capability, now boaters can know how their batteries are aging over time and avoid the dead battery surprise. Priced competitively with other battery monitors, the SG200 delivers superior measurement features in a compact, compelling color display. The SG200 enables better battery management for many deep-cycle battery applications, including cruising vessels, bass/walleye boats, ski/wake boats and center consoles, not to mention recreational and specialty use vehicles.”
Balmar’s SG200 and the optional Bluetooth® Gateway are available around the world through its business channel partners. For more information and to locate a Balmar dealer, retail outlet or distribution partner go to www.balmar.net or call +1-800-467-3371.
