Conway, South Carolina based, Glendinning Marine are now in full production of their ProPilot joystick control system, an option that’s now available for their entire range of electronic engine controls and designed for use in inboard engine power/sail boats with bow/stern thrusters fitted
By combining the available thrust of the boats engine and thruster(s) the Glendinning ProPilot joystick allows simple and intuitive boat handling even in the most unfavourable winds or currents – by simply moving or rotating the joystick, the engine and thrusters activate as required to move the boat effortlessly in the required direction
The ProPilot joystick is suitable for installation on all inboad power boats with a bow thruster fitted and for sailboats with both bow and stern thrusters
The ProPilot joystick can be used with most thruster brands and types (single speed and proportional) and because it features an integrated thruster control keypad, it can if required replace the standard thruster control panel saving space on the dash
